@Tutorialviewer Fireworks is easier for web-based graphics and has nice optimization features. It doesn’t have all the heavy, high-end features of Illustrator and is more straight-forward in basics. It also does round-trip editing and optimization with Dreamweaver.

  2. Tutorialviewer says:

    hey,
whats the difference between Fireworks and illustrator?
Because you can do actually the same with illustrator.

  5. troglodyte3344 says:

@Emtoeduheikel Are you married to photoshop? lmao. fireworks is for rapid web graphic prototyping and it has many tools for web designers to make website mock ups to show to clients. it also edits images.

  6. PalmBreezeCAFE says:

Fireworks, like you said, is great for the web. It integrates with Dreamweaver to let you edit and optimize right from the interface. It is quick and easy to use and works with Photoshop files. This one is old. Check out the newest version.

  7. Emtoeduheikel says:

Annoying dude: “That’s so fast, it’s so fast! And it’s so fast!”

Are there any other benifits? Because Photoshop is just as fast.

The most stupid thing of all is that they introduced that Fireworks is for making websites and Photoshop for editing photo’s. So what are they teaching in part 2?? Photo editing!!!

  9. PalmBreezeCAFE says:

Chris, first off, you watched a video from a show we did over 2 years ago. Fireworks has released new versions since then and is packaged with CS4 Web.

This product may be useful, but it is definitely not worth 300 dollars!!! It is simply ms paint with a few more options. I bet there is freeware as good as this program.

  11. Netino78 says:

most of the video is him saying “how many things are in fireworks” and not really showing us those things, and takes a break too soon lol…the good parts are “that was so fast!”

  12. ameerxx12 says:
